Where do I register and what do I do after registration?
Click on the REGISTER button in the menu bar at the top of the webpage. To register, you only need to provide your name and email-ID.
1. Please check your email-ID thoroughly before you submit the registration form. If you do not receive a "Your Response" email from Google as soon as you register, the email ID you submitted might be incorrect.
2. Before attempting any test, make sure you have received your Unique ID.
How much does the course cost?
The entire course (including Certification) is absolutely FREE. We do NOT charge anyone for anything. If someone does attempt to charge you claiming to be a DHK representative, please bring that to our notice ASAP through our official email-ID available at the end of this page.
What is the course structure?A Basic Introduction to the Course including course structure, expectations, requirements, and primary eligibility criteria for certification is detailed in:
When will I be eligible for the certificate?
Every level (A1, A2, etc.) will have a total of around 20-25 lessons. Each lesson (L01, L02, ...) has a test which is called the 'Individual Test'. Every level also has a 'Final Test' that marks the end of that particular level. Once you successfully complete all the tests (Individual and Final), you will be eligible for the certificate.
Where do I find the course?
You can find the entire course in our Course Catalogue where you can very easily search and watch all the posted video lessons and also attempt the respective test on the same page and at the same time.
You can also find all the lessons in the German A1 Playlist on our YouTube channel. The individual tests will be linked in the description of the particular video lesson.
Where do I find A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2?
We are currently posting the German A1 level. Since we are covering the course sequentially, it will be a while before we start posting higher levels.
However, registration is common for all levels. You can register now and we will let you know as soon as we start posting your desired level.
In any case, we highly recommend that you complete A1 with us. It will help you understand our system better. You will also learn a lot of new things that we assume you already know when you are doing higher levels at DHK.
Do I need to complete A1 again at DHK if I already possess a proof of proficiency for A1 from another institute?
No. Currently, you do not have to complete the same level again if you have proof of proficiency for the same level from another institute.
However, we highly recommend that you complete A1 with us. It will help you understand our system better. You will also learn a lot of new things that we assume you already know when you are doing higher levels at DHK.
Where do I find the individual and final tests?
Individual tests are available in the Course Catalogue right next to the particular video lessons. If you choose to watch the lessons on YouTube, then you can find the links to these Individual Tests in the description of every video lesson.
Note: Test results are almost always available immediately upon submission of a test by clicking on the "View Score" button. However, some tests have to be graded manually. In that case, we will send you your grades at a later stage.
Is there a deadline for the completion of the course?
No. The course is fully flexible. You can register anytime, start the course anytime, and complete it anytime. However, regularity is recommended for better understanding and fluency.
What to do after I have completed all the already uploaded lessons and tests?
Please wait for the new lessons to be uploaded.
We usually post a new lesson within 2 weeks of posting the previous lesson. However, we have now defined a certain minimum number of test responses until the last lesson. We cannot post new lessons until the total number of test responses crosses this threshold. Please complete all the available lessons and submit the respectives tests as soon as possible, so we can offer you new content faster.
Those who are up-to-date with the course within 2 weeks of posting the last lesson, please revise the already posted content and stay in touch with it. We will soon be introducing Exclusive Early Access Content (EEAC) so that you need not wait until the others are up-to-date.
Can I volunteer at DHK?
Yes. Use the VOLUNTEER button at the top of this page to apply for our Volunteer Program. More information about the program can be found directly in the application form.
